March “Good roads to land on” column & photos

Read my March, 2009 Flying Carpet column, “Good roads to land on,” which appears in AOPA Flight Training magazine, about a memorable flight from Flagstaff across northern Arizona and southern Nevada to Las Vegas and back.

The flight to Las Vegas and the visit there were uneventful. The flight home, however, was a different story. We zigged to avoid snow showers all the way south beyond Kingman, Arizona, then zagged north again almost to Seligman before proceeding home.
