“Missouri Quilt”

Views from the Flying Carpet Fine Art Print

“Missouri Quilt” was photographed over far northeastern Missouri near Keokuk, Iowa, on an aerial journey from Aurora, Illinois to Benton, Kansas.

Along with the intriguing arboreal and agricultural geometry of the scene, Greg was taken with the rich hues and fabric of the early-September crops. Textural details in particular are rarely so prominent from thousands of feet in the air. Finally, there’s the shackled North Fabius River, which struggles to meander despite being confined by human endeavor to a straight and narrow channel.
